Industry Tours
An important part of the C2C year is visiting industry, allowing students the opportunity to see first hand how advanced manufacturing techniques are implemented in the work place.
We are very fortunate in the Northern suburbs that we have a diverse range of advanced manufacturing industry partners covering a wide variety of the latest world class manufacturing and logistic techniques. This has enabled NAMIG to come up with a range of industry tours available to all C2C schools.
In addition to the list of established tours, NAMIG has a network of partners who can be sourced to meet particular interests of schools. All schools need to do is identify their particular area of interest and the Coordination Team will endeavour to arrange a suitable industry experience.
Prior to booking, please consider the purpose of the tour in relation to your projects. Perhaps a talk, workshop or other form of engagement may be more appropriate.
We suggest a tour to set context at Year 9 and a Lean Manufacturing Workshop to introduce process at Year 10, supported by specialist talks, tours and advice at other year levels which the Coordination Team is also able to facilitate.
