Workplace Hazards

 

 

  1. Being struck by an object
  2. Striking against an object
  3. Coming into contact with a harmful energy source
  4. Becoming caught on a stationary or moving object
  5. Becoming caught between either a moving object and a stationery object or between two moving objects
  6. A same level fall (slip, trip, loss of balance) to the surface on which you are standing or walking
  7. A different level fall (slip, trip, loss of balance) to a level below the one on which you are standing or walking
  8. Over-exertion and over-extending or straining while doing a task
  9. Health exposure and being exposed to harmful substances or conditions over the short term (acute) or long term (chronic). Harmful substances can enter your body in any of four ways, typically through inhalation, ingestion, absorption and sometimes through injection
  10. Other harm, where you are exposed to a hazardous condition that cannot be classified as above, but has the potential for causing harm, eg drowning.
