Remote Control Car with Wireless Camcorder Linkup
The Concept
Can you imagine the countless uses of a remote controlled unmanned vehicle, which also has a wireless video linkup? It could be used to assist victims in natural disasters or mining accidents. It could also be used to explore areas which are too dangerous for humans to enter; possibly because of toxic fumes or extreme heat. Well this group decided to construct a remote control car that could do just that!
The Creation
The project involved sourcing different components which when integrated, would produce a remote controlled unmanned vehicle. Initially this project required researching which components were required for its construction and were readily available. The next step was the selection process, which required identifying which of the selected components best suited the application, and review this against their its cost. Once completed and the components purchased, the group carefully examined the performance and technical features of the various components, and carried out modifications to them where necessary.
Of course the most exciting part of the project was to assemble the components to create the final product. Testing for a few days wasn't too boring either!
This turned out to be a most rewarding exercise with many new technologies learnt, and who knows, it may also be the next Moon-Module?
