Following the successful pilot sponsored by the Department of State Development in 2014, 27 students graduated from NAMIG's award-winning STEM Sista girls' mentoring program in 2015. Over 60 guests attended the graduation held on 3 November 2015, including proud parents, grandparents and teachers.
Some of the highlights of the program were workshops on STEM career pathways and personal development and visits to Adelaide University and the University of South Australia. But the stand out favourites were the "poster sessions" where the girls got to interview several amazing female engineers (and some male ones too) and find out what they do, why they do it and what path they took.
