Mincham Aviation supports the C2C program by showing students the diverse and exciting opportunities that exist within the Defence and Aerospace communities.
Opportunities for young people
The South Australian Aerospace and Defence industry is rapidly growing and changing every day. Having such a broad range of exciting jobs, there is always a job for highly keen and motivated people. Mincham Aviation is only one such company and normally employs apprentices every year.
Message to students
I personally been working in the Defence Aerospace industry since I was 15, I'm now 38. I've had the pleasure of working on aircraft like Hornets, F-111, Macchi and some other international fighter jets. I've worked on other aircraft like the Hercules, Caribou, Iroquois, Blackhawk, Seahawk, PC-9, B707, B717, B727, B737 and a whole range of other civil aircraft. However my experience has not been limited to aircraft. Through the years I've been exposed to working on military tanks, submarines, special vehicles, weapons, racing cars, trains and general engineering. All in all it's been diverse and always challenging. I can't think of any other industry that can expose someone to so much technical marvel. If this sounds like you, then take a good hard look at the Defence and Aerospace industry. You won't look back!
