Advanced Manufacturing Leadership
In late 2003 a group of advanced manufacturing companies in Northern Adelaide joined together to provide leadership in addressing the major skills shortages affecting their businesses. Working together with industry associations, the education sector and the Cities of Playford and Salisbury they introduced a unique approach to the promotion of STEM education and skill development in Northern Adelaide Schools.
The NAMIG (Northern Advanced Manufacturing Industry Group) Inc was formed to collaborate with Northern Adelaide Schools to deliver the Concept2Creation (C2C) Program as part of the school curriculum. Since its inception several new industry partners have become involved in the C2C Program providing a broad range of industry experiences for participating students and teachers including C2C projects, industry tours and workshops.
The success of the C2C program led to its expansion to schools outside of the northern suburbs of Adelaide and new industry partners are invited to become involved with C2C particularly to assist with the expansion into other regions of Adelaide.
