Welcome to the new Concept2Creation (C2C) website - an interactive website aimed at providing C2C students and teachers with the tools required to make the most of their C2C experience. The website is a dynamic and interactive site that will grow with the C2C Program. The website will enable students and teachers to communicate with industry partners and other schools through a moderated forum (coming soon!) and to download templates and tools.

What is C2C?

The Concept2Creation (C2C) Program has been developed by the NAMIG (Northern Advanced Manufacturing Industry Group) Inc to provide a way for schools and industry in Northern Adelaide to work together to provide students with industry experience and assistance as they create their own C2C projects.

The C2C Program introduces a “product life cycle” approach to science, maths and technology education by helping schools and students to develop the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of Advanced Manufacturing processes and possibilities through a problem based learning approach.

Students and industry work together to solve a problem that requires a product or service. Assisted by industry partners students take the product from the concept, through research and development, production and quality assurance to the final creation and marketing. Along the way they will use the science, maths and technological knowledge they learn in their school subjects.

In the 2½ years the program has been running, 13 primary and secondary schools and over 1000 students have participated in the C2C Program. It is expected that over 700 more students will be involved over a full semester of study in 2008. Other schools in the region are also involved through the many professional development courses including electronics and CAD/CAM and through other activities. Schools self nominate for this program and determine the level and details of the school involvement tailored for their respective schools.
